One of the biggest mobile phone brands in Nigeria, TECNO Mobile, has unveiled its latest flagship smartphone for 2014.
The much anticipated Phantom Z was launched at the Sheraton Hotel in Ikeja, Lagos on Tuesday,August 5.
It was an exciting time for 10 lucky consumers who went home with one brand new Phantom Z each.
The all new Phantom Z, which is in direct competition with Samsung’s newest smartphone, the Galaxy S5, is powered by Android 4.4 Kitkat OS; comes in a 7.9mm unibody design; packed with a 2GB RAM; an internal memory of up to 32GB; and an 3030mAH battery that delivers 24 hours of talk time with up to 960 hours of standby time on a 3G network.
The new device also flaunts a stylish high-end back cover, a dual camera complete with the first dual flash camera that allows users to create stunning selfies at daytime or nighttime.
In addition, its 5.2 inch, 1920x1080p Full HD screen makes use of the latest AMOLED screen technology to ensure high pixel density and high contrast ratio and with anti-scratch and anti-fingerprint surface.
Speaking at the event, Deputy General Manager, TECNO Mobile, Mr. Chidi Okonkwo, remarked that the entrant of Phantom Z is a great milestone for the company because it offers superior features for smartphone users.
"Phantom Z is about to revolutionalize how a smartphone is being used in Nigeria. It also comes with a data bundle from MTN, Etisalat, Glo and Airtel. Our products have won several prestigious awards in the last two years.
